As AT&T is a huge employer in the USA, loads of people are wondering: does AT&T drug test?
In this article, not only am I going to tell you whether they do not, I’m going to tell you when and how, and also how you can pass an AT&T drug test.
If you’re not prepared, you’ll get caught out, and there’s a lot of confusion out there about this company, including whether AT&T drug test during the hiring process.
So let’s clear the mist now, and tell you exactly what you need to know so that you can get that job, or keep that job with AT&T.
Does AT&T Drug Test At Interview? What Is The Hiring Process?
There’s a misconception out there that you will be drug tested at interview. Meaning, they will basically hand you a cup, and tell you to submit a specimen after the interview.
This isn’t true. If you are going to be offered a job, it will be conditional, based on you passing a background check and drug test. That is the AT&T hiring process.
So you go to your interview, or several interviews with higher position with AT&T. Either directly the end of the interview, or by contacting afterwards, you’ll be told you have been conditionally offered the job, but only after background checking and a urine test.
You’ll be given a place to go to, a local drug testing lab, and the timescale to submit your sample within, usually within a couple of days of the job offer.
What Panel Drug Test Does AT&T Use
The AT&T drug test is usually a standard urine drug test. In terms of what panel drug test does AT&T use, this can differ by location. But it’s unlikely to be a more expensive test, meaning usually a six panel test, that looks for the most common drug metabolite.
During the AT&T hiring process, and for existing employees as well, any urine test you are sent for will be unobserved.
This means, you’ll go behind the screen, in a cubicle, or into another room, submit your sample, and then hand the cup to the technician. You won’t be seen when you urinate, which is important, because it means it’s easier to pass.
Do AT&T Hair Drug Test?
Although the AT&T drug test is usually a urine test, it’s actually different in New York City. If you are going for a job with AT&T in NYC, then you could face a hair drug test.
The AT&T hair drug test is a completely different ballgame. It’s far more invasive, and far more difficult to get around.
Basically, if you have got any drug metabolites in your hair, from within the past 90 days, a hair follicle drug test will pick that up.
So generally, it’s good news, it’s and unobserved urine test, which is pretty easy to pass if you know what to use to help you.
But if you are going for a job with AT&T in NYC, then you could face a far more challenging hair follicle drug test.
How To Pass A AT&T Drug Test
If you are facing a urine test, then it’s quite easy to pass the AT&T drug test.
There are two ways you can do this:
- Use a high quality synthetic urine. I recommend Sub Solution. You simply go behind the screen and submit a fake sample.
When they test it, it will contain all the chemicals real urine does, plus it won’t test positive for artificial preservatives either. On top of that, you can submit it at the right temperature, because it uses heat activator powder, which will keep it at the right temperature, right up to the last minute.
- Use a high quality detox drink. A good quality detox drink like Ultra Eliminex, Mega Clean or Rescue Cleanse, will flush out the toxins in your bladder, retain the nutrient balance, and give you a window of opportunity, usually around five hours, to submit a clean sample.
I recommend you only use a trusted brand of detox drink, as most out there simply don’t work.

If you are going to be facing a far more invasive AT&T hair follicle test, then your only option is to use the Macujo method.
I’ve written a detailed guide to using the Macujo method here, but basically, it uses a range of ingredients, some of which are quite expensive (Nexxus Aloe Rid detox shampoo and Zydot Ultra Clean), to open up the hair strands, strip out the toxins, and then close and condition the hair.
So whether you are facing a standard urine test, or more invasive AT&T hair drug test, there are definitely ways you can pass it, either with fake urine, detox drinks, or using the Macujo method.
